my third collection of sounds and first physical release, made possible by caleb johannes (truman peyote) and jimmy hughes (turtle ambulance). breakfast of champs records will live on forever in our hearts. the pieces that are presented with this tape span certain moments in my life from '07 through '09... insomnia, falling in love with your best friend + keeping it a secret, being frustrated by the lack of community in urban areas, and how the apocalypse is going to be alright. 'the lighthouse itself is the rocket' is a reference to the second to last episode of the original 'prisoner' series which aired in '68.

your face was the mountain escalated from the sea your body is an island inhabited by trees when shit goes to waste we all want a taste of the bbq fires that we blazed in a dry forest without even considering its hosts. and when a child dies there is a singular weep. but what if he or she grew up? BUT WHAT IF HE OR SHE GREW UP!? and i can't bear this weight anymore as being 20 still makes me child. escaping means nothing and you have yet to realize it. and growing old means nothing and i have yet to realize it. and growing old means everything but we have yet to realize it. and having people to call your friends means everything and fmly means everything and our relationships at this precise moment mean everything our actions are not destiny and any one of us can change a space.
